SR2Software Announces Release Version 2009.011

SR2Software recently released a new version to their popular QuickBooks Compatible SR2Food distribution software for the Food Distribution Industry. This release contains some exciting new features in both Sales Orders and Truck Routing. In the Sales Order program you now have the ability to create negitive invoices for customer credits and we now create a credit memo on the QuickBooks side. Even bigger than credit memos is our new ability to have a second alternate unit of measure. If you have a product that you sell by more than one extra unit of measure we can handle it. For example: I have a product that I sell by the Case, Each and also by the Pound, we now allow you to enter any of those in Sales Orders. This feature will be very popular with Fruit & Produce Distributors.

SR2Food Truck Routing just got an important new feature. We now give you the ability to order your stops automatically using Microsoft's MapPoint product. With our new interface to MapPoint the end user will have the ability to map out the best route simply by clicking a button. Our Truck Routing and MapPoint do the rest. We even accomodate the ability to specify stops that need to be made first or last. MapPoint will automatically work a new route based on your criteria.

Some other features added are the new Bill of Lading, for Invoices with no pricing, designed for those orders that are drop shipments. New formatting of the item number on the QuickBooks side to make summary reports more user friendly. Font sizes on Order notes, for "when you have to get your message to the customer in clear terms".

By far this is one of the best releases we have put out so far. Our next release is going to be even more aggressive and may take a little longer. Keep looking for continued updates and bug fixes over the next few months.

Eastland Foods goes live on SR2Food

Eastland Foods successfully completed the conversion from Lighthouse's Food Manager to SR2Food and they are running their day to day operations with their new SR2Software product. Eastland Foods is a vegetable processor/manufacturer and produce distributor to restaurants, supermarkets and other distributors in the New England area.
